Description
Music has always been a major inspiration for me. My first experience with classical music came when my older sister was learning piano. She was very good and practiced for many hours. As she became more proficient, she was given classical music to play. My favorites were Clair de Lune and Moonlight Sonata.
I used to sit and lean up against the upright piano in the living room while she played. I would close my eyes and see the colors as the music swirled around me. I knew that one day I wanted to paint those colors.
The Classical music series is the culmination of that desire.
“Le Onde” by Einaudi is the inspiration for this painting. Le Onde means “The Waves” this painting was meant to blur the lines between the ocean and land much as it does in real life. The music brings the image of the mountains tumbled down to the sea and the water coming up to meet them
